Let me start off by saying a big THANK YOU!!! to all of my new followers!! I want to give each one of you a big hug!!
This Little Light has tripled in followers in the last three days! I am so excited you are here, and I may have even shed a few tears of joy...ok, I did shed a few tears of joy! My heart is so full right now ♥ and I am so thankful! I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you! :)
Now I would like to tell you about my most recent thrifting trip. I am blessed to have quite a few thrift stores in my area, but I have one that is my favorite. It is in a big old house with a wraparound porch, and all of their proceeds go to support a local Christian High School. When I talk about my "favorite thrift store" that is the one I am referring to.
The first thing I saw was this!
And I fell in love. I knew I wanted a desk for the future craft studio (aka the current garage.) I knew I wanted it to be on the smaller side and have character. My desk is a little rough around the edges, but I love the size, all the drawers, and the lines! I can't wait to show you what I am going to do with it!
Guess what I paid for my desk?
Give up?
$7.00!!
I also got three cute tops on this trip.
I came home, washed them and wore the one above the next day! I don't know if you can tell but it has ruffles coming down the left side. I love ruffles!
Really, I love ruffles. Here is the second shirt I picked up.
The third shirt I picked up is my favorite I think,
This picture does not convey how cute this shirt is. It is a really pretty green and the material is dotted-swiss.
So are you wondering how much I paid for each of these cute shirts?
I'll tell you!
$ .75 cents apiece! :)
That is right-I went thrifting with a $10 budget, and came home with a desk and three cute tops for $9.25!! :)
I looooove thrifting!
Thank you for the love on Mama L's blog today! I'm a big fan of her blog, too. It has been so nice to find other blogs to read. And yes, I think we should be BFF's because you are the thrifting queen! I'm in the suburbs of STL... Where are you in MO?
ReplyDeleteAwww thanks Holly! I am so happy you came to visit me! Thrifting queen? Now you are definitely my BFF lol:) I seriously love your blog! I am in a town right outside of Jefferson City, so I'm smack dab in the middle of the state, I love it! :)

ReplyDeletevia Sunny Simple Sundays, Pat
Thanks Pat! I have had a bit of a slow start with blogging, but I think I've got the hang of it now! Thank you so much for visiting me! I love the name of your blog, so cute! :)
DeleteThat desk is really special and it's even more special that you got it for that price. Will you leave it as is, or paint it? Ann
ReplyDeleteHi Ann! :) I am going to paint it, I just haven't decided yet if I am going with off white & distressed (think Shabby Chic) or bold, yellow or turqoise, or my third option, color blocking. I am a indecisive, so right now it is still sitting in my garage waiting until I make up my mind! :)
DeleteLove your desk! It has great "bones"!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
Thank you Debbie! Yes, I thought the desk had great "bones" too! :) So happy you stopped by! Hugs to you too! :)
DeleteAwesome. I love the thrift store. I stain or put holes in all my everyday shirts so I hate to pay a lot. Love the desk. You must show us if you do something with it. Thanks for sharing with us. I need to get my login straightened out for blogger so I can be your newest follower. There is something messed up with it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Elaine! I think the thrift store is spoiling me, I realized the other day that I have started thinking clearance prices are too high! Lol :) I was so excited to get the desk, I will be sure to share it when I get it done! Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to you following! :)
